After 16 years of building the Get Fit Over 40 community on YouTube, my channel was unexpectedly terminated overnight.
With zero prior community guideline strikes, the entire library, thousands of hours of workout routines, contest preps, TRT guides, tech reviews, and 16 years of personal memories, vanished instantly. Losing a creative outlet and community hub that has been part of my daily routine for over a decade feels a bit like losing a limb, but it’s time to adapt, regroup, and rebuild.
What Caused the Termination?
I want to be completely transparent about what happened: the strike and subsequent termination were triggered by a partnership announcement video for Celugenics Peptides.
Peptides have become a massive topic of discussion across the fitness and health industry, and in my excitement to share a discount code with viewers, I included a direct link to the product website in the video description.
YouTube strictly prohibits direct links to websites selling what they conisder to be restricted substances and compounds, classifying direct linking under their banned substance policies. While the mistake was an honest oversight on my part, YouTube’s automated system issued an immediate permanent removal. Despite multiple appeals through their official support forms and direct inquiries via X, the decision stands, and the channel will not be reinstatedunless some absolute miracle where to happen.
Rebuilding on Rumble
Rather than dwelling on the loss, Get Fit Over 40 is officially moving its long-form video library to Rumble.
Rumble offers a much more open platform for creators, allowing for better free expression, flexible linking policies, and a dedicated, highly engaged audience. Rebuilding will take time, as every video must be manually re-exported, formatted, and re-uploaded one by one.
Here is how content is being prioritized on Rumble:
Brand & Partner Commitments: Immediate priority goes to fulfilling sponsor and partner obligations (including Lordhair and health/supplement partners) to ensure these working relationships continue smoothly.
Top-Performing Fitness Content: Restoring popular training routines, contest prep breakdowns, and Get Fit Now instructional workouts.
Gear, TRT, & Tech Reviews: Re-uploading in-depth wearable reviews, hormone therapy guides, and gadget breakdowns.
Vlogs & Backlog: Archiving as much of the personal and lifestyle video catalog as possible.
The best way to support Get Fit Over 40 right now is simple:
Follow the new channel on Rumble: Watch the full-length videos and subscribe to stay updated on new content.
Stay connected via the website: All major long-form video releases, articles, and training guides will continue to be hosted directly here at GetFitOver40.com.
Catch updates on social channels: Short-form highlights and links will continue to be posted across Instagram and short video formats.
Thank you to everyone who reached out with advice, support, and kind words over the past week. Onward and upward!
