Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023-2024

As Christmas and New year approach, I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. According to my religious beliefs I concelebrate Christmas and I do so unapologetically. I know we live in a multicultural world with a variety of religions and beliefs. If you do not celebrate Christmas as many of us do here in Canada, then I wish you a wonderful holiday season nonetheless.

I look forward to 2024 and hope the new year brings prosperity to those deserving of it. May the righteous prevail over the unrighteous and good over evil.

For those following me over on Replica Airguns, I will be going to SHOT Show this year after a three year hiatus. I am really looking forward to seeing all the venders and new products they are showcasing at SHOT Show 2024.

For my GetFitOver40 audience I am taking things day by day and as I feel better and better I hope to be able to do more and more and perhaps maybe even do a show this year, but more on my own terms and my own timeline.

Monster Mission V1 TWS Low Latency Earbuds Mini Review

This video is for the most part a Mini Review, so don't expect a lot of specifications and a dedicated unboxing. I do talk about why I decided to pickup a set of the Monster Mission V1 TWS Low Latency Earbuds and that would mainly be because they offer Low Latency at about 40m/s which is pretty good for a Bluetooth based system.

Why do I need Low Latency Earbuds? Maybe you also have noticed when watching a movie or video while using a pair of BT Earbuds, there is often a significant delay which makes the sound not line up very well which can be rather distracting. Low Latency corrects this by making the delay much shorter and a lot less noticeable.

I have not seen many Bluetooth Earbuds that offer Low Latency, usually Earbuds accomplish this by incorporating their own dongle that uses an RF signal. You could also simply use wired Earbuds but who want wires?

I may not go over a lot of the specifications of the Monster Mission V1 TWS Low Latency Earbuds in this Mini Review Video but I do talk about the main points that interest me. Like the Low Latency Mode, the overall Sound Quality, the Build Quality along with some basic functionality.

TRT - 3 Month Bloodwork Results on 100mg of Testosterone

It's been just over three months since I started taking prescription doctor prescribed 100mg of Testosterone per week and so it was time to get my bloodwork done to see just where I am at.

In terms of how I am feeling I would say most of the major problems I was having from low Testosterone have been worked out being on the Testosterone for three months. Energy and mood are much better, the aches and pains are also improved, but I still have a little bit of shoulder pain that is totally manageable now. Sex drive is back and I feel more eagerness to go to the gym and I am seeing some muscle and size improvements but not drastic. I have maybe gained around 7 pounds total as I was about 185 when I started TRT and I am now sitting at generally 192 pounds most days.

When I started my TRT I had a Testosterone level of 1 nmol/L which is about what a female might have. I should be between 8 and 29 to be within normal healthy ranges, preferably in the 20's. Getting my bloodwork is not only to see what my Testosterone is now at but also to see what else the TRT may be influencing like RBC, PSA, Liver function...

My bloodwork results did show that my Red Blood Cell and Hemoglobin where just a tad high but only by just a little My PAS was the most concerning as when I started the TRT it was on the high normal side and now it has gone up about 30% so I am in a range that needs to be monitored as it should maybe have only gone up 10-20% from the TRT.

Surprisingly my Testosterone was now at 31 nmol/L so just a little bit higher than high normal ranges. With all things considered we decided to take my TRT down to 80mg per week which is not a big difference tat the end of the day and I should not feel any difference but will hopefully get my RBC and PSA down to normal ranges.

DJI Avata FPV Drone - Like Flying a Mini Jet Fighter

First off did I need the DJI Avata FPV Drone? No I did not. Did the sale price influence my purchase? Maybe a little bit. Either way I now have one more resource I can draw on to make interesting content and in terms of adventure video the DJI Avata will for sure capture it in a very dynamic way.

The DJI Avata FPV Drone is also incredibly fun to fly as you use goggles to fly it so it feels like you are literally on board the Avata while it swoops and turns and goes just about anywhere at rocket like speeds.

One huge bonus is I can get a similar adrenaline rush as I do while I ride my PEV's, but with zero bodily risk to myself if I where to crash. If I crashed on one of my PEV's, more than likely both myself and the PEV would be damaged in some way for sure. The DJI Avata FPV Drone is built like a tank and can take some pretty decent tumbles and impacts without getting damaged.

In terms of getting adventure content, the DJI Avata FPV Drone can capture traditional cinematic drone video but has the advantage of flying super low to the ground, between extremely narrow gaps and with that First Person View giving the audience the feeling like they are in the action. Something a normal drone can not do! The DJI Avata also records in 4k at 60 frames per second so the quality is up there for sure.

In this video I do an unboxing and take a look at what you get in the packaging. I also take it outside and capture some of my initial flights and crashes.

Working in VR with the Meta Quest 3

Want to live in the future right now? Well at least the cool neat part of what the future holds... I'm not so sure about the general direction we are headed but when it comes to tech and computer advancements there is a lot of amazing stuff we are going to be able to do or can even do right now.

In this quick example video I show you how I am working these days using a Virtual Reality setup by taking advantage of what the Meta Quest 3 VR Headset can do using a piece of software called Immersed that simulates multiple computer monitors in Virtual Reality allowing me to use my MacBook Air without a physical external monitor and giving me up to 4 more virtual monitors which is something imposable for my MacBook to do in real life.

I have the choice of working in a Virtual Office space or be in my physical room using something called pass through that allows me by means of dual cameras on the Meta Quest 3 VR Glasses to use a mixed reality where I can see my actual office with Virtual Reality Monitors added in. It is hard to explain how good this all works and the video I show you is not even close to the real world Experience I get first hand.

I can also work in Virtual Reality alone or in a public space so I can feel like I am work along side others or by myself depending on how I want to work. You can communicate with other people in these public settings or decide to be in a private mode if you would rather have privacy and perhaps work a bit more productively.

Right now I am actually working in VR writing this article in my actual office using the pass through feature and the experience is amazing. There is a bit of a learning curve and you need to figure out a slightly different workflow, but for me it is 100% worth it as now I can take my office and 4 monitor setup anywhere I go as long as I have my MacBook and Meta Quest VR Headset.
