GEPRC TinyGO 4k Acro Starting to Get the Hang of it

I know lately it's been a lot of me flying around my GEPRC TinyGO 4k FPV Drone and for some of you this is just not your thing! That's Ok just wait a bit and once I get the hang of flying these FPV drones, I will be using them in videos you will most likely be more interested in as I will be using them to get some really great scenery videos when I am out and about making more adventure video content.

I am starting to get the hang of this FPV Acro Manual Mode flying and things are starting to click a bit more now, but there is a lot more I need to learn and need to become second nature to me when flying.

In this video I am flying completely in Manual Acro Mode and things are starting to click a bit more for me. I did run the video through a program called GyroFlow that stabilizes the video since the newer version of the GEPRC TinyGO 4k I purchased creates stabilization files that allow me to stabilize the video in post using GyroFlow and this really helps the final video product.

GEPRC TinyGO 4K Bad Flying With and Without GyroFlow Stabilization

I have been trying to learn how to fly my GEPRC TinyGO 4k FPV Drone in Manual (Acro) mode which is harder than I first thought, but I am making some headway and I can actually fly now in Manual Mode without totally bailing within seconds. I will get better over time and this will smooth out the video for sure but my GEPRC TinyGO 4K even though the video resolution is not too bad there is no stabilization to speak of in the camera. It does however include gyro motion information along with each video in the form of matching .gcsv files that help GyroFlow figure out how to stabilize my videos.

There are a couple of tricks I have figured out that I needed to do to get the Gyro motion data to match up with the video data and once that is done the video actually looks pretty good in my opinion. Keep in mind my flying is really terrible and very jerky so better flying and less jerky movements will give much better results.

Here is my workflow when using GyroFlow to stabilize my GEPRC TinyGO 4K FPV Videos:

  1. Open GyroFlow.
  2. Load Lens Profile: "Caddx 2.7k 16:9 2704x1520 60:00fps" As this is my recording resolution and camera lens.
  3. Import Video to be stabilized.
  4. Import supporting gyro data file (saved with video file on SD Card): Mine has the .gcsv extension with the same file name as the video I imported.
  5. Right Click on Motion Data (Colored lines at bottom of the screen). Find a section that looks busy with lots of moving data points. Then select "Auto sync here". That will sync the video with the motion data from your imported .gcsv file.

I pretty much left everything else set to default but you can play with other settings to get your desired output.

GEPRC TinyGO 4k FPV Drone First Time Flying with Goggles

I have been flying my little GEPRC TinyGO 4k FPV Drone mostly in side in my sea can since the weather has not been so nice and I really need to get the basics down before going outside and accidentally flying my drone off into who knows where...

I tried using the goggles at first but inside such tight quarters, I get really disoriented with the goggles on not really sure which way I am looking since things are so erratic, so I have been flying inside without the goggles and on.

After getting my confidence up just a bit and feeling like I now have a little bit of control (still not very good) I did finally go outside and strap on the goggles and take my GEPRC TinyGO 4k FPV Drone Drone for a flight in the yard. There were some crashes but I did spend most of my time in the air with a hint of some control so I can say that things are progressing! I hope to be an ACRO Pro in no time LOL!

Insta360 Go2 - GEPRC Tiny 4K Drone For Even More Interesting Content

Some of you may have noticed a lot more content in the form of shorts going on with my channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter). I have made a commitment to myself to try and upload at least one short video to the group of channels per day that cover stuff like Diet Tips, Exercise Tips, Workout Tips, TRT, Adventure, Fitness Tech and just cool stuff I experience.

I have been suing a bunch of cool video tech to capture these video and try an make it all entertaining for everyone such as my Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, My DJI Avata FPV Drone, my HoverAir X1 Selfie Camera Drone and of course just using my phone.

I wanted to share some new additions to video camera options to help me create content and help keep me inspired while doing so I added the Insta360 Go2 Tiny Action Camera and the GEPRC Tiny 4K FPV Drone to my collection. The Insta360 Go2 Tiny Action Camera is just super versatile and you can literally put it anywhere and create both shorts and standard videos all in one take so that was a no brainer and I got it for only a couple hundred dollars used on Marketplace. I also decided to buy a mini FPV drone so I could get into even smaller places and get even more creative with my shots. I also anted to learn how to fly a drone in ACRO mode which is really hard and I felt it would be better to learn on a small cheaper drone than my $2000 DJI Avata.

I love this this stuff and so for me this is super fun and I enjoy figuring it all out with the added advantage of being able to share cool videos with my audience.

DJI Avata Flying Around Property Taking a Few Branches to the Face

It's been awhile since I flew my DJI Avata FPV Drone around the house. DJI sometimes makes it difficult to fly in certain areas and my place is close enough to an Airport that my DJI Avata complains and restricts my ability to fly. I am not sure what changed but all of a sudden I am now again able to fly in my area as long as I accept responsibility for flying in a semi restricted area. I really do not go very high or even close to where an airplane may fly over, but I understand making sure I am aware of any hazards to my DJI Avata Drone or an airplane.

After a few laps around the yard it all started to come back to me, and now that I can fly again, I will for sure be stretching my FPV wings or or should I say blades. I hope to really start to get good at flying this super fun mini Jet Fighter and share even riskier flying with everyone! Enjoy some close calls while I blast through some small branches and almost get hit by a truck (My Bad). I can say without a doubt that the DJI Avata FPV Drone is really built strong as I have nailed some branches hard and taken a few tumbles, and after that, this little guy doesn't even have a scratch on it, just had to clean off some dirt.
