IK Multimedia iLoud Studio Quality Portable Bluetooth Speaker Unboxing

You may be surprised to see an audio product that is not from Kinivo this time around? As much as I like the Kinivo value priced audio equipment I have been reviewing, I wanted something that would satisfy the audiophile side of me even if it came at a significantly higher cost! I actually used to be into music back in the day, I ran a project recording studio and even worked at Tom Lee Music in the Pro Audio and Recording sections.

About 15 years ago I lost most of the hearing in my right ear taken out by a virus and so that kind of put a damper on things literally! Over the years I have gotten pretty used to it and thank goodness I still hear all the high frequencies in my bad ear so I can get by OK.

Back to the IK Multimedia iLoud Studio Quality Portable Bluetooth Speaker Unboxing. This speaker is crazy awesome, it is made for musicians and made to sound like a studio monitor so it is perfect for mixing audio and of course listening to audio. The iLoud is even made to be able to plug in musical instruments for playback once they have been processed via one of the many IK Multimedia iOS applications for guitarists, vocalists, keyboard players and even DJ's.

The IK Multimedia iLoud is not the smallest portable Bluetooth Speaker on the market but it is far from the largest. I would have to say it is the loudest and best all around sounding speaker in it's size class, after all it does have a total of 40 watts of digital power divided into four separate amps, one for each internal speaker.

Anyways, watch my unboxing video to get a quick overview of the IK Multimedia iLoud Studio Quality Portable Bluetooth Speaker and for your convenience I have put some of its main Features below:

Features:

  • 40 Watts total musical power — twice as much as speakers of comparable size.
  • Superior bass response and sound accuracy.
  • Bluetooth and stereo analog line input.
  • Battery powered with 10 hours normal usage and auto standby.
  • iRig® input for guitars and dynamic mics for iPhone/iPad processing.
  • Highly portable — it easily fits in a laptop bag or backpack.
  • Ideal for music reproduction and music creation.

Off Road Ridding in the Yard with the Kids

We've been getting out a bit and doing some ridding in the yard. My daughter Jordan has a GIO 110cc Quad she rides, my son Gabriel has an upgraded 50cc Honda CRF-50F clone that we got him last year and I have a 110cc Pit-bike that started life as a pretty plane Jane unit that I upgraded most of it with a rolling chassis kit.

These rather small bikes are perfect for us for ridding around the acreage, I even cut a couple of trails in the tree'd area which ads to the fun. I thought I would make a short video of us ridding around before the summer was over, I had everyone geared up with cameras but unfortunately Gabriel's camera glasses did not want to record for us today :( I still got some great video of the kids having fun on their off road machines ;)

PMG Push Up Challenge - Bodyweight Fitness Challenge

I'm always up for a fitness challenge, or should I say one that will not leave me injured afterwards ;) This Max Push-up challenge from PMG (Pure Muscle Gains) is pretty basic and really anyone can do! Now I am not hosting this challenge nor is there really anything to be won other than the satisfaction of seeing how many push-ups one can do and perhaps outperforming a few people along the way...

So make sure to checkout TJ's PMG's channel and his PMG Push Up Challenge - Bodyweight Fitness Challenge video.

So how did I do? Well you are going to need to watch my video entry to find out, but I can say I did a bit better than when I did a similar max Push-ups challenge of 70 reps during the LTRob & QUEST4FIT Push-up, Pull-up and 400 Meeter Run Challenge.

Deadlift PR of 433 lbs x 5 reps at 195 lbs Body Weight.

Just a quick Deadlift PR Post. I don't go for too many 1 rep PR's these days, just too hard on the old muscles and joints ;) But every once in a while when I am feeling good, I try to rep out a Personal Record.

Last week I actually did this exact same PR when we where doing a 5x5 deadlift day. Today we where doing 5 sets by 3 reps but I wasn't really sure if I wanted to go much over 433 pounds so I decided to throw 433 pounds on the bar and go for another 5 reps to make sure it wasn't just a fluke the first time! Well I got it again and I almost felt like I had another one left in me but there was still a fair amount of back workout left to go so I called it quits...

If you are wondering how heavy Deadlifts effect your heart rate, checkout my Polar Loop and Garmin VivoFit Heart Rate Monitor reports for this workout. You may be surprised, the peak in the middle of the workout is my heavy set of 433 pounds hitting 5 reps!
