The new unit arrived in a sleek, magnetic box appropriately labeled, "New hair, new chapter." While I'll be doing the full installation this weekend, I want to share a few key tips for managing a poly-system:

• Hydration is Key: Because the polyurethane base prevents your natural scalp oils from reaching the hair, you must manually add moisture. Using a few drops of a quality hair oil keeps the system looking healthy.

• Strategic Styling: If you want to be a bit lazy with frontal touch-ups, combing the hair slightly forward is a great way to hide the hairline while maintaining a natural look until you get around to addressing the frontal hairline with a touchup session.

• Manage Sun Exposure: Poly systems hold their color well, but extended UV exposure will eventually cause some fading or slight browning. Throw on a hat if you plan to be out in the sun for any extended period of time.

• Blend the Gray: Selecting a gray percentage that perfectly matches your natural bio-hair is the secret to making the system completely undetectable.
